Coates Consulting Ltd provides internet connectivity services such as business broadband, leased lines, wireless connectivity, web hosting, virtual servers and physical colocated servers. We host in the UK, with servers both in England and Scotland.
Depending where you are, one or more of the following broadband services i.e. ADSL, ADSL2+, fibre to the cabinet (FTTC) or fibre to the premises (FTTP) may be available. This is dependent on whether your BT exchange has been recently upgraded. Our ISP of choice is KCOM Ltd.
Business broadband contention ratios are much lower than residential connections, often come with a superior Service Level Agreement, and can be configured with redundancy, in the event of a physical line failure.
Other business connectivity services we provide are ethernet in the first mile (EFM) connections, where available, and leased lines. EFM connections are low cost leased lines and are often available where your local exchange has been upgraded to FTTC.
We are also able to offer traditional fibre leased lines through our partner KCOM. These are often suited for larger businesses where low-latency, high-speed internet connectivity is vital.

We offer a complete suite of business internet hosting services for our customers such as web-hosting, email and online storage. The Office 365 Business plans are a good route into this.
We offer either Windows or Linux web hosting and can offer a choice of SQL Server or MySQL as the database back-end. Joomla and WordPress websites can be run from these servers.
We can provide other services such as virtual servers, cloud services and physical server operations.
